Crowns luted utilizing adhesive bonding have initially had favorable
conditions for a high survival rate. The reason for this is
a less critical stress situation, therefore a favorable situation
with adhesive bonding of e.g. glass ceramics is achieved. The
first published clinical results on Empress II are promising
for bridges only up to the first premolar, but here again long-term
results are not yet available.
